Every home is different, so we won't pretend there's one price — the boiler, your hot water needs and the pipework all play a part. That's why we quote every installation individually, for free.
Here's our promise: you get a fixed written price before any work starts, and that's the price you pay — no mid-job extras. We don't publish a ballpark figure, because the honest answer depends on the boiler you choose, where it's going and the pipework behind it — a number plucked off a website only sets the wrong expectation. Which boiler is right for your home?
There is no single best boiler — there is the right one for your house, your water pressure and the way your family actually uses hot water. Our engineer looks at all three before recommending anything, and the survey is free.
Combi boilers
Heat water on demand, so there is no cylinder and no airing cupboard taken up. Ideal for flats and smaller houses with one bathroom. The limit is simultaneous demand — run two showers at once and both will suffer.
System boilers
Work with a hot water cylinder, so several taps and showers can run together without pressure dropping away. Usually the right answer for a family home with two or more bathrooms.
Regular (heat-only) boilers
The traditional set-up with a cylinder and a feed tank in the loft. Often the sensible choice in older properties where the existing pipework and radiators suit it, and a full conversion would add cost for little gain.
What our installation price includes
Your written quote is a fixed price for the whole job, not a starting figure. It covers the boiler itself, the flue, all fittings and pipework alterations, a system flush appropriate to the system, a magnetic filter, controls, commissioning, and registering both the warranty and the Building Regulations notification for you.
If we find something during the install that genuinely changes the job — a buried leak, or pipework that will not take the new system safely — we stop and talk to you before doing anything that costs more. What we will not do is quote low and find extras later.
Brands we install
We fit Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal and Glow-worm. All four are widely supported, so parts stay available for years and any engineer can work on them later — that matters more than it sounds when a boiler needs a repair in a decade.
We register the manufacturer warranty on your behalf as part of the installation, and we will tell you honestly which units in a range are worth the extra and which are not.
How long an installation takes
A straight like-for-like combi swap in the same position is usually a one-day job. Moving the boiler to a different room, or converting from a regular system to a combi, generally runs to two days because there is pipework and making good to do. Full system replacements can take longer, and we will tell you the realistic timescale in the quote rather than the optimistic one.
We work to leave the heating and hot water on at the end of each day wherever it is physically possible, and we clear up properly — dust sheets down, old boiler and packaging taken away with us.
