When to call, and what happens next

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and the emergency line is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whenever you ring, you get our own team in Tonbridge — nobody else answers our phone and we never pass your details to another company.

Tell us what is happening in your own words. We will ask a few questions to work out whether it needs someone today or whether it can safely wait for a normal appointment, tell you our rates before we set off, and book the earliest visit that actually suits you rather than a vague all-day window.

If it is an emergency right now

For a burst pipe or a leak you cannot stop, turn the water off at your internal stopcock first — usually under the kitchen sink or in a downstairs cupboard — then open the cold taps to drain the system down, and ring 01732 792 454. If water is near electrics, switch off at the consumer unit before you touch anything.

If you can smell gas, do not ring us first. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 straight away, open the windows, avoid switches and naked flames, and turn the gas off at the meter if you can reach it safely. Ring us once the immediate danger has been dealt with.
